Yuzo Koshiro Funding Goal

It's always been a dream of mine to make a game that one of my favorite composers would have some music in... It would appear that dream is close to a reality!

I've had some correspondence with Yuzo Koshiro- composer of Streets of Rage, ActRaiser, and many many many games that I'm sure you've played and enjoyed over the years. Most recently, he composed an arrangement for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He is available to make a track or two for TASQ, and gave me pricing. This is an incredibly tempting prospect, and absolutely a dream of mine since I was a child in the early 90s. If anybody is unfamiliar with his work, check out the ActRaiser OST- it is by far some of the best music in video gaming history.

The downside? I have 0 budget for TASQ. It's completely self funded, with some of that funding very marginally recouped via Patreon- so it's very hard to drop a couple grand for music, and up until this point I've been avoiding publishing (which would be lots of money in pocket at the cost of actually owning my game) and crowdfunding.

I'm honestly uncertain how to go about this! I do have my Ko-Fi and my Patreon, however neither of those really have good goal based crowdfunding options that work for something like this. Ko-Fi does more so than Patreon, but it's still inadequate. I have considered starting a Kickstarter just for individual goals with TASQ that require more budget than I have, vs having a Kickstarter for an entire project, but I'm not sure if that's the right approach.

Right now, the plan is to apply every sale on my itch.io toward funding having Yuzo Koshiro guest compose a track. This means if this is something you'd like to hear in The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest, then purchasing any game/asset pack/etc on my page will exclusively help push things toward that goal.

I've honestly never thought I'd live in a time where communication with people you admire would be possible on this level. Even if I can't fund the tracks, the fact that this is even possible is crazy to me.

Dude, that would be worth setting up a kickstarter to get funding for that. That would be amazing- Act Raiser had mind blowing music
